A writing system is a set of symbols used to represent a language in writing. A writing system can be representative of various sounds (cenemic), of various meanings (pleremic), or both. Use this tag for questions specifically about learning the writing system of a language. For example, questions on how to learn the stroke order of Kanji or whether any mnemonics exist to learn the values of Hebrew vowel pointing would be appropriate uses of this tag.
